Good article. It would be folly to say that we did not expect Pakistan becoming a battleground when Obama was railing about the Talibans during the campaign --- I remember posting a Facebook status about Obama marching victoriously around South Asia after he first announced his military policies. Whether it was inevitable that the conflict eventually move to Pakistan (due to the nature of conflict, Pakistan's political instability, and religious/racial makeup) or a reflection of Obama'a and AMerican policies is a matter of debate and, more importantly, a formality. This might also indicate that Obama will not hesitate to move the war to other countries, as he is essentially a "do-gooder" and has a total belief in American political and economic hegemony. He has already given the finger to China and shown an unusual amount of ease to use coercion in foreign policy.

I did not mean you were ignoring the fact that there is a third war, but that you are one of the first to publicly discuss it. It was time that it was done and kudos to you!

Thanks Saurav! You're right, it's not anything new. But I am amazed at how little it's openly discussed in U.S. media.
